Women's representation in politics - Young women in politics program training workshop

The programme targets all young women who have a desire to actively participate in public and political life or in decision-making in their environment and who want to strengthen their leadership skills as well as their civic and political participation. The programme consists of a 4-month training course focusing on the development of leadership and political participation skills among young women. Twenty-three young women from the twenty-three regions of Madagascar participated in this creative process of exchange and capacity building. Additionally, in March, the Generation Equality Forum (FGE), which was launched in Mexico City, called for increased acceleration with regards to the establishment of coalitions between women and men that are aimed at identifying and carrying out concrete, ambitious and transformative actions with the aim of achieving gender parity and equality. In light of this, the Coalition Movement and Feminist Leadership aims to bring togther different voices, including EISA's, that will inform, exchange, express their points of view and their experiences on how to achieve a fair and equitable female representation in different arenas.
