When women are involved in negotiations

Peace talks have been shown to be 20% more likely to last 2 years and 35% more likely to last 15 years or more when women are given seats at the negotiating table. However, only 13% of negotiators, 6% of mediators and 6% of peace agreement signatories were women between 1992-2019. This campaign aims to increase women's meanigful participation in peace talks to create more long lasting agreements and avoid wars and conflict, which disproporionately affect women and girls through trafficking, rape as a tactic of war and poverty.
