UNGA Resolution on Sexual Violence Survivors' Access to Justice

sexual violence survivors' rights

The first resolution in history to enshrine the human right to justice for survivors of sexual violence was passed on 2 Sep 2022. This was the result of campaigning and research from a number of brave women survivors and organisations, who fought for justice despite pushbacks and resistance. Further work is still needed to make access to justice, health care, support groups, schooling and finances available where necessary to deliver for women and girls everywhere.
