Gamers are 46% female but executves running the gaming industry are only 16% female. This leads to unsafe online spaces for women and girls, discrimination and lack of female characters ro representation. Women and girls are deterred from high-income STEM careers and cannot see themselves as leaders and winners if they are not visible in online spaces and culture. The gaming industry is as much a public space as the real world and women and girls deserve to take up equal space and have equal input to shaping our culture and technological advances.
