In 2014, Amina Filali ended her life and Morocco revoked article 475 authorizing a rapist to marry his victim as a result of the ensuing campaign. Although women’s rights in Morocco have witnessed an important momentum during the last ten years, in terms of legislation, women’s rights activists still express their dissatisfaction with what has been achieved, continuing to raise the same demands that they had been requiring for years.
