The UN Women campaign #OnThisDay celebrates women who have made advances in their field. Brazilian politician and feminist Franco spoke for minorities in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. She was a trailblazer for women who fight for another way of doing politics, which is esssential to the democratic process.
