Afgan Women's Protest for Education. Women. Justice. Freedom.

Education is our red line. Justice. Justice. Education is our right. Women. Justice. Freedom.

In Kabul, at least 20 Afghan women marched to demand the right to education for women and girls before being rounded up by a Taliban patrol. The demonstration was triggered by the killing of more than 50 students in September who are mainly young women in an attack in Kabul. There is evidence of other small protests but the Taliban have responded with violence.

The boldness of Afghan women in the face of the extreme oppression meted out by the repressive Taliban is one that we must celebrate.
